The Power of the Network Marketing Entrepreneur Opportunity

Network Marketing is the highest-ranking industry in the world coming in at $190 billion.

Before delving into "The Power of the Network Marketing Entrepreneur Opportunity" let's start with a few definitions.

Network:
(noun) an association of individuals having a common interest, formed to provide mutual assistance, helpful information or the like.

Marketing:
(noun) the total of activities involved in the transfer of goods from the producer or seller to the consumer or buyer, including advertising, shipping, storing, and selling.

Opportunity:
a situation or condition favorable for the attainment of a goal

Entrepreneur:
a person who organizes a venture to benefit from an opportunity, rather than working as an employee. Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy. These are the people who have the skills and initiative necessary to anticipate current and future needs and bring good new ideas to the market. Entrepreneurs are naturally drawn to network marketing opportunities.

The Power of the Network Marketing Entrepreneur Opportunity contains three income levels:

Part-Time Income
Little Capital
No Risk

Full-Time Income
Leveraged
Income

True Financial Freedom
Freedom to create
the life you want
to live

There are many network marketing opportunities in the world. How do you evaluate a good business opportunity and choose one that is right for you?

First, there are five things to look at:
  1. The Company
  2. The Products
  3. The Financial Opportunity
  4. The Culture
  5. Timing
There are three main components to look at when evaluating the product or service:
  1. Different What makes the company or business opportunity different?  What makes it different from the competition? What makes it unique?
  2. Advantage The difference has to give you an advantage over the competition or an advantage in the marketplace.
  3. Sustainable The business must be sustainable.
Where can you find Network Marketing companies? You can always do a Google search or take a look at the top companies as reported by Direct Selling News. On April 1, 2020, they announced the list of top direct selling companies in the world based on 2019 revenue.

A few insights from this year's list:

  • 48% of companies grew year-over-year from 2018 to 2019
  • 2 of the top 10 companies reported increased revenue
  • Six companies grew by $100 million from 2018 to 2019
  • Companies ranking 11-25, seven reported increased revenue
  • Companies ranking 25-50, 15 reported increased revenue

Marketing in the World of Digital Information Overload

One would think in the year 2019 with all the digital platforms available that marketing would be easy. Reaching your target audience as simple as hitting a few buttons. Build a social presence by being active on social media. All these things are really basic so why is marketing so difficult today?

Money. The 1980’s feel like ancient history but things were easier. Specific channels; newspaper, magazine, radio, TV, and direct mail were the major players. You received media kits and price plans to market your product or service on these channels. Something else that was part of the marketing strategy was advertising agency discount rates. An ad agency could offer their service to a client at no additional advertising cost because the channels gave a percentage of the advertising dollars spent back to the agency and everyone was a winner.

In 2019, money is still the main player in the game; however, the major players, or channels of today, have changed. We now live in a world of social media and if you do not have a social media presence, you are invisible. Advertising discounts for ad agencies still exist but the average business owner cannot afford to promote their product or service on TV. Print media; i.e., newspapers, magazines, and direct mail are readily available online as well as in print. Will your advertising dollars on these channels reach your target audience? Maybe and that is a big risk to take.

What about social media and what is the problem? Algorithms. Facebook and Instagram are two of the biggest players in the social media game. It often feels like spending advertising dollars on these channels is like playing darts. What impact will your ad dollars have in getting your product, service, or event seen by the people you want to reach? How will that algorithm affect your results? Do you need to spend money to be seen and more important, why should the small business have to spend huge amounts of money to be seen?

There are a lot of questions with very few answers. This is an experiment; using a blog and dynamic websites to reach a target audience. Websites became static when smartphones took over communication. You hold the power to engage in social media, check email, text and talk, search the internet, listen to music and podcasts wherever you are because that power exists in your smartphone. Will a dynamic website capture the audience you want to reach? Will a blog dedicated solely to information, and not a platform monetized by advertisers, build engagement? Can social media be utilized in a way that traffic can be driven to a website or blog? These are the questions and time will tell what the answers are.

May 28 be

Wednesday, May 28, 2014

This is a Wonderful Wednesday even if the weather says otherwise. I am reminded of the quote, "You can only appreciate the miracle of a sunrise if you have waited in darkness." The same can be said for the sunny, fun filled days of Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Sun makes everything brighter. Without the grey and gloomy rainy days, would we appreciate the sun as much?

I am on a quest to understand Facebook as a marketing tool. I recently "stumbled" on platforms that promise to help you with your Facebook marketing, apps that will help you create compelling fan pages, contests, promotions, Like Gates, Fan Gates, and a host of additional terms that sound like a foreign language. Stepping back, I looked at the basic marketing pieces, the pieces of the puzzle so to speak. There is building a following and generating an email list. At the core of all this I realize is the information that is gold to my communication channels - the email list.

As I am coming to the end of May"be" (missing posts will be added before month end), I am clearer on my goals; clearer on what I want to achieve with the time I am spending online. An idea for a contest is forming and the final May"be" post will announce it.

Thank you for reading these posts. A parting message from Guiding Eyes Pippin (this picture was taken when he began his journey with his puppy raiser) "I wish you a Wonderful Wednesday!"
