May 3 Be

Saturday, May 3, 2014

Three things for a Superb Saturday:

Many years ago I was introduced to the concept called network marketing. Late 20th Century there were a number of companies offering products through independent associates. Associates were compensated based on building successful teams. Early 21st Century, network marketing received very bad press. This is not the fault of a business model; it is the fault of greed.

Over three years ago I was introduced to a new product that is available through independent associates based on a network marketing model. The three things for May 3 be are the ethos of ASEA:

                             Believe

                                                    Belong

                                                                             Become

All human beings have 3 basic needs: to believe, to belong and to become. ASEA empowers its Associates to believe in a life-changing product, to belong to an organization driven by principles, and most importantly to become better people, professionally and personally.

In an effort to achieve this goal, the single product of ASEA containing trillions of stabile, native to the body redox signaling molecules is now available in liquid and gel form. Healing from the outside in and inside out.

Will Winter Be Around Until Spring?

Ranger in the Tree

This is a real cat, in a real tree in February, 2010.

Winter officially arrives this coming Saturday, December 21, at 12:11pm EST. We are experiencing our third snowfall in nine days and it's still "technically fall".

Is this a taste of what this winter will bring? Are we going to have one of those seasons that sees snow on the ground from now through Spring? One thing will be certain, we will have a White Christmas (unless we suddenly get weather above freezing day and night and some rain before next Wednesday.)

There is a reason for considering this. My ASEA team is made up of Independent Associates that run their business part time or full time from their home. We attend presentations in homes and restaurants. If we have a winter of snow, sleet and freezing rain with bad road conditions, we need to consider alternative ways of connecting with our team and our prospects. The purrfect solution is to use technology. My new favorite technology is the Google Hangout. There are nuances and potential to this platform that I will present in detail in tomorrow's blog.

Think about the things you want to know; how can this technology, a Google Hangout, work for your business? Bring your questions and let me know if I leave something out.

Enjoy the quiet of a snow covered afternoon.

The Value Proposition

I woke up restless at 4:20am and couldn't get back to sleep. This is a rarity for me now, ASEA has given new meaning to a good night's sleep.

What made last night different? Unresolved issues. I said "no" to three things I disagree with: helping a cross line Associate, staying up for a conference call that was changed from 6:30pm to 9:00pm and not wanting to get excited about a new "technology" that isn't proven, has bugs and I don't want to spend time on it until I know it can benefit me and my business.

Identifying the problem led to the creation of Today's Inspirational Montage. Enjoy!

Birth of a Logo

The birth of a logo - the design process.

I just completed a review of the process behind designing the logo for Team Michelangelo’s Annual Charity Car & Motorcycle Show For the Love of Pets and People. From the very beginning, September, 2009, I wanted to create a logo that would speak to our show; making a difference for our furry friends and the people they help. I wanted a logo that would immediately convey that message and be memorable.

It took a long time to create the purrfect design. On June 16, 2012, while having lunch in a restaurant on Cape Cod, I saw the sign over a pet boutique across the street that put into focus what I wanted to do with our logo. Finally, after many sketches and help from my embroidery software trainer and friends at Guiding Eyes for the Blind, our logo was born. The design pictured above is our copyrighted design and is used in embroidery, print and jewelry.

Pearl Harbor

December 7, 1941 "the day that will live in infamy" the day Japan attacked America in Pearl Harbor.

This is a great article about a rare warplane that was built in Buffalo, NY and is returning to America: Rare Warplane Returns Home

First Friday

Today's post is featured on our website. I hope you enjoy the same wonderful feeling I got when reading the two articles; a blog post by Amy Dixon, blind sommolier and an interview with ASEA Triple Diamond Trish Schwenkler.

Enjoy a purrfect day!

NATIONAL MUTT DAY
Each year on December 2nd, National Mutt Day is celebrated across the United States.  This day was created as a day to embrace, save and celebrate mixed breed dogs.
Desperately longing for a new home, there are millions of loving and healthy mixed breed dogs, in shelters across the United States, awaiting for someone to come and adopt them.
For more information regarding National Mutt Day, see: http://www.nationalmuttday.com/
NATIONAL MUTT DAY HISTORY
National Mutt Day, an “unofficial” national holiday was created in 2005 by Celebrity Pet Expert and Animal Welfare Advocate, Colleen Paige.  This day is celebrated on both December 2 and July 31 of each year.

December's Challenge

I have wanted to do a "blog a day challenge" since the first one I did with ActiveRain. It is a personal challenge - and it is meant to be fun.

For the month of December, I am going to write "a blog post a day":

  1. On our website: http://ForTheLoveOfPetsAndPeople.com   "or"
  2. On this blog with a link posted on our website
Why am I doing this? Using social media means having a plan; a social media marketing plan. This coming May, 2014 is the Fifth Anniversary of Team Michelangelo's Annual Charity Car & Motorcycle Show For the Love of Pets and People. We want to make this the best event ever. We want participants and spectators to be engaged with our show before, during and after the event.

I will use social media to build relationships and promote our show. In the process, I will learn the best ways to implement a strong social media marketing plan. I need a hub for the plan and the hub will be our website.

It will be fun building this. I look forward to challenging myself to find interesting content to post daily and to see what creative features I can add to our website and my blog to make it more interesting and engaging.

Posts will be shared via
  1. Twitter: http://Twitter.com/@CorvetteCathy  "and"
  2. Facebook: http://Facebook.com/ForTheLoveOfPetsAndPeople
I look forward to the next 31 days and this amazing journey.
